Back Water Kayaking

The sea and water escapes of Goa present a perfect opportunity to indulge in backwater kayaking across the various waterways of the state. A kayaking tour will bring you to up, close and personal with the vegetation and flora and fauna of the state. The best time to learn surfing in Goa is between the months of April and May. The best beaches in Goa to experience this sport is the coastline between Arambol and Calangute.

Dudhsagar Waterfall

Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River. Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India’s tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 metres (100 feet).The area is surrounded by deciduous forests with rich biodiversity. This waterfall is also known as Tambdi Surla to some of the local people. The falls are not particularly spectacular during the dry season but during the monsoon season the falls are fed by rains and form a huge force of water.

Bebinca

Bebinca or bebinka, is a layer cake of Indo-Portuguese cuisine in Goa, India. In traditional baking, Bebinka has between 7 and 16 layers, but bakeries can modify the cake recipe as per convenience and taste. It is especially popular during the Christmas season, but is available all year round due to tourism in Goa.  

 

Cashews

The history of cashews in India dates back to the 16th century in Goa. Hand-picked Goan cashew nuts are world-famous, and there’s a huge market both offline and online where Goan cashews are available in a wide variety, from roasted cashew nuts to flavoured cashew nuts.    

 

Port wine

Port is a type of fortified wine that Portugal is famous for. Fortified wines are made by processing wine with a grape spirit, typically brandy. The addition of a grape spirit adds a natural sweetness to the wine.    

 

Kokam Serbut

Kokum sherbet is an exotic popular coastal drink made from the thick mined juice of sugar, kokum and citrus acid. It is an energizing tangy chilled beverage enormously beneficial during the hot summer days.
